Discovering Innovation and Culture: MSc AI for Marketing Strategy Students’ Trip to Dublin

In June, our MSc Artificial Intelligence for Marketing Strategy students embarked on an unforgettable journey to Dublin, jointly organised with EM Normandie Business School. This vibrant city offered a perfect blend of advanced technology insights and rich cultural experiences, making the trip an invaluable part of their educational journey.

Immersed in Tech Innovation

The week kicked off with a visit to Google, where students were introduced to the company’s innovative environment and cutting-edge projects. The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of how Google integrates AI across its various platforms and services, setting the stage for an exciting week ahead.

On Tuesday, the students had the opportunity to delve into the world of Ernst & Young. They learned about the pivotal role AI plays in marketing operations and executive functions, gaining insights into real-world applications of their studies. The visit to Microsoft on Wednesday further enhanced their understanding of AI, as they explored the tech giant’s latest advancements and contributions to the field.

The exploration of innovation didn’t stop there. On Thursday, a visit to Salesforce showcased how the company leverages AI to drive customer relationship management and enhance business strategies. The week culminated with a fascinating session at Meta on Friday, where an AI Engineer discussed the integration of AI in social media, providing practical knowledge and inspiration to our future engineers.

Exploring Dublin’s Rich Culture

In addition to the tech-focused visits, the students immersed themselves in Dublin’s rich cultural heritage. The City tour on Monday allowed them to experience the historical and architectural beauty of the city firsthand.

On Tuesday, the group explored the EPIC Museum, delving into the history of Irish emigration and the profound impact of the Irish diaspora around the world. The cultural journey continued with a visit to the iconic Guinness Storehouse on Wednesday, where they learned about the history and craftsmanship behind Ireland’s most famous beer.

Thursday’s itinerary included a scenic trip to Howth, a picturesque fishing village offering stunning views and a taste of Ireland’s natural beauty. Finally, on Friday, the students visited the majestic St Patrick’s Cathedral, rounding off their cultural exploration with a deep dive into Dublin’s religious and architectural history.

This trip to Dublin provided our MSc AI for Marketing Strategy students with a holistic learning experience, blending technological innovation with cultural enrichment.
